Entitlement to free NHS Treatment

NHS 무료치료 수혜대상

1. Non-UK residents have to pay for NHS services (usually in advance, depending on how urgent the treatment is), unless they are exempt from the charges. Overseas visitors who are exempt from NHS charges include:

영국 거주민이 아닌 사람이 NHS 서비스를 이용할 경우 치료비를 지불해야 한다(치료의 시급함에 따라 차이가 있지만, 선불해야 하는 경우가 일반적이다). NHS 치료비를 면제받은 외국인 방문자는 다음과 같다

1) Those who have resided lawfully in the UK for 12 months or more prior to the services being received;

치료받기 전에 영국에 합법적으로 12개월 이상 체류한 사람

2) Those who are employed by a UK-based company;

영국 소재 회사에 고용된 사람

3) Those who are self-employed where their principal place of business is in the UK;

영국에서 주로 사업활동을 하는 자영업자

4) Students on full time course of at least six months duration;

최소 6개월 간의 풀타임 교육과정을 이수하고 있는 학생

5) Those with permanent residence in the UK;

영국 영주권자

6) Former residents of the UK who are currently employed abroad.

현재 해외에서 일하고 있는 전 영국 거주민

2. Some NHS services are, however, free-of-charge to all, including overseas visitors. These include:

NHS 치료 중 일부는 외국인 방문자를 포함하여 모두에게 무료로 제공된다. 이는 다음과 같다:

1) Accident and emergency services (but not including any services provided after the patient has been accepted as an in-patient or an out-patient);

응급치료(단, 환자가 입원환자 또는 통원환자로 인정된 후 받는 치료는 포함되지 않는다)

2) Family planning services (not including maternity treatment or terminations of pregnancies);

가족계획서비스 (단 산부인과 치료 또는 임신중절 수술은 포함되지 않는다)

3) Treatment of certain diseases (including food poisoning, infectious bloody diarrhoea, malaria, measles, mumps, Tuberculosis and other infectious diseases);

무료치료 대상으로 지정된 질병 (식중독, 전염성 유혈설사, 말라리아, 홍역, 볼거리, 결핵 및 기타 전염병)

4) Treatment for sexually transmitted diseases;

성병 치료

5) Services provided to persons liable to detained under the Mental Health Act 1983.
